Infinity Egypt Expands Fiber Deployment to Upper Egypt

Infinity Egypt is pleased to announce the successful completion of a 180 km fiber backbone expansion project connecting Asyut, Sohag, Qena, and Luxor governorates. This deployment extends high-speed connectivity to underserved areas, supporting telecom operators, enterprises, and government digital initiatives.

The project included route planning, civil works, cable laying, splicing at 24 junction points, OTDR testing, and full network documentation. Despite challenging terrain and logistics, the project was delivered two weeks ahead of schedule.

"This expansion reflects our commitment to connecting all of Egypt — not just major urban centers," said the Project Director at Infinity Egypt. "Fiber infrastructure is the foundation of digital inclusion, and we are proud to play a leading role in building it."

The new backbone supports both lit services and dark fiber leasing, enabling operators to rapidly extend their networks into growing markets across Upper Egypt.
